This Thursday 12th September Roundhay Runners will be on tour at the Meanwood Valley Trail.
Location – meet at The Bay Horse, 14-16 Parkside Road, LS6 4NB. Runs will start at 6.45pm so please leave enough time for a short briefing and parking. There are some spaces at the pub and parking on the road nearby but not in abundance so please car share as much as possible if you can. See below for directions.
Format – 3 groups as normal, each with a navigator and a tail runner to keep groups together. Rob and Daniel will lead the long run which will be more suited to quicker and/or experienced trail runners. It is a challenging but rewarding adventure along some of the finest trails in Leeds. Sarah and I will lead the intermediate group, which will be a mixed trail run of 7.75km and take in a loop of Meanwood Park. Stu & Gary will lead the short group on 3km laps in the park.
We will be very welcome in the pub for drinks afterwards 🙂
Lifts – Can anyone able to collect from our usual meeting point around 6.15ish please post their info on the Facebook page?
Directions – heading down Stonegate Road, turn right on to Parkside Road at the traffic lights/crossroads before reaching Meanwood. At the top of this section of Parkside Road there is a mini roundabout. You now have to turn right and then immediately left on to Woodlea Park to then rejoin Parkside Road. The Bay Horse is then 200 yds on the right.
